This product is ok but not value for money. I have had the inside insulated & plastered to make it more sturdy. I have also painted the exterior for longevity. Whilst this is a garden product at close to £1000 I would expect a better quality product. The hinges and fittings have rusted in less than 6 months exposure to external elements. The supplier of the product advised me to treat with a wire brush & use a coating of rust cure treatment. Not a very satisfactory response. As a result I would not recommend purchasing a Rowlinson product.

The finished article looks great, but the assembly was very difficult and time consuming. The windows have to be assembled with individual small panes surrounded by spars and beading. A lot of the spars had to be trimmed and one longer length spar was missing altogether, with an extra a smaller one sent in it's place, leaving us with a gap. Many of the larger wooden pieces were very roughly cut and the lower edge of the top of the door frame was not straight. Unless you have a lot of spare time, a good prior knowledge of assembling this type of structure and infinite patience, either buy a product where the windows come ready assembled or else pay for assembly. As I said, the finished article looks great, but getting there was a real slog.

Less well constructed than I had hoped. It will all need sanding down before assembly - a lot of very rough cuts left unfinished - and on delivery, one of the vertical struts had not been formed correctly and one of the windows panels had been broken in manufacture (but still sent out!). All credit to Garden Street who resolved all issues rapidly. Sadly the replacement window panel was also defective, though I was able to repair that. So Product 3/5, Garden Street 5/5.

Overall Pleased with summerhouse. Took 2 men a full day (one with good knowledge of joinery) to put up. Painted most of it before putting together as easier prior to glazing. There are a couple of small leaks via the windows when it rains. May be able to do something about that though? Looks the part and now ready to paint inside so no furniture etc in yet. I used Cuprinol garden shades in coastal mist as going to have a beach hut theme as live near sea. Good service from company after a small hitch.

All dealings with the staff over the phone and by email excellent. Delivery man very helpful. As yet have not built the summerhouse, it is in the garage being painted, hopefully it will be put up over Easter weather permitting. Will try to send photo when built.
