“This shovel is sturdy with a useful long handle. The long handle means less bending down when using the shovel. That said I use the shovel as a spade, my garden ground has so many stones that a pointed end is needed to get a useful depth when digging. When being used as a spade it means that the handle is away in front of you when the blade is pushed vertically into the ground. I can accept this inconvenience for the benefit of the long lever the handle provides and the less need for bending. So it is just right for me.”
