“We specifically looked for a water butt that was both functional and decorative as it was to occupy a prominent position close to the house. The Rainwater Terrace fulfils both of these functions and, now having been planted up, looks very attractive. Build quality is good and the assembly instructions are simple and informative. Having the capillary matting to keep the plants moist is innovative as is the design to ensure a flow of water through the system once it is full. We are hoping that this will ensure the water stays fresh and not develop the familiar odour that water butts can acquire! Although not cheap, the product has fitted our requirements perfectly. Just one minor criticism is that the topmost, lid planter could have been slightly deeper as it can only accommodate fairly shallow-rooted plants.”
