Protek Clear Wood Preserver is a pre-treatment to protect against wood destroying and wood discolouring fungi/rot. It is a clear water-borne product based on modified vegetable oil. Protek Clear Wood Preserver is effective against blue stain according to EN152 and against decay fungus (brown rot fungi) according to EN113, EN73 & EN84. It is moisture regulating and provides an adhesive surface making it a great primer preparation that can easily be over painted or stained with Protek Wood Protector or Royal Exterior. It penetrates wood easily and thereby gets deep into inner layers. Suitable for use on all outside wood that is not in direct contact to soil or surface water. Not for indoor use. Ideal for Timber Buildings such as Log Cabins, Summerhouses and Sheds Clear Water Based Pre-Treatment Low VOC Excellent Coverage: 6m per Litre per Coat Great Eco Credentials (Based on Renewable Resource Technology)

Soaks in well and coverage is as advertised on planed cabin logs. I applied one coat, but liberally. There is a slight colour change in the wood when you first apply, but that is the only indication of where you have been. Consistency is like sugary water, runny and slightly sticky. I tried a garden sprayer which worked but wasted too much. A brush is just as good. Recommended.
