Sadly our arch had been damaged in transit which we didn't notice straight away, Garden Street delt with the issue promptly, arranging collection with no fuss or bother 5 stars for customer service.

Rowlinson dispatch the item direct as 2 packages. 1 package was lost in transit. They were unable to find it or provide a replacement in a reasonable time scale (2.5 weeks~). I cancelled the order with gardenstreet who issued a refund in 48hours.

Good build quality and all the parts quantities Including screws were correct. The instructions were very basic and did not explain how to attach to the uprights correctly ( I found the only way was to screw through the arch base at an angle otherwise there is no way to get on to the screw). You also need to assemble the arch in situ as it is very difficult to move once screwed together and could be damaged if trying to move it any distance. Definitely needs at least two people to assemble as it is heavy and the struts of the arch may need a whack with a rubber mallet to fit into place. Overall we are very happy with the look and quality of this arch and would recommend it after comparing it to similar products within the same price range.

On the plus side the wood was of reasonable quality and well treated, but, the pilot holes were drilled in the wrong places, the mortises were (some) wrong size and had round ends and the tenons were square ended, the screws which held the thing together were of poor quality and the staples were rusty and inappropriately short. The thing was made as cheap as possible. The manufacturer does not appear to understand jigs. Not good value for money.
