“I have purchased this and similar Rowlinson planter box products before, and saw no downside to re-ordering. Mistake. The order was late arriving as their delivery contractor lost the original shipment. On opening the replacement order, I was disconcerted to have a protruding nail inflict a deep scratch in my hand. The nail had been driven at a steep angle at about 30 degrees to where it should have been, with over 2 inches being visible out the side of the planter box panel. The most elementary inspection would have captured that defect, so two faults are indicated - very poor workmanship and a total lack of quality inspection prior to packaging for shipment. The result of the mis-angled nail was that the competent slats of the panel failed to hold together in a single plane and I had to perform remedial work to make it fit for purpose.”

“Easy to assemble good match with the 1800mm planter pity it wasn't chamfered as the 1800mm version then it would then have been perfect.”

“This arrived in two packages, with and assembly instructions, which included the need to drill 14x 2mm pilot holes for 8x 100mm and 6x 80mm long screws. I defy anyone to (a) find a 2mm still bit long enough and (b) to successfully insert the supplied screws into a 2mm diameter pilot hole! Appropriate adjustments were made to the size of the pilot holes and the finished planter looked good.”

“These are sturdy well designed planters, delivered as advised. But, one of the end panels has been poor manufactured with the bottom slat not penetrated by one of the two assembly pins, leaving the slat flapping around like a weathervane. While it is simple to to correct with a couple of 100 mm deck screws, if reflects badly on the quality control and inspection processes at Rowlinson.”
