Tried nematodes for the first time this year. Great results. I live in a wet part of Scotland and slugs, are a problem. This year I still have hostas that have full leaves! The instructions, say apply every 6 weeks however, I have discovered every 4 weeks works better for me. I have in my diary to apply earlier next year. Def worth doing (I still put out beer traps to catch visiting slugs)

This is really good for my veg and not being eaten by loads of slugs. Easy to put on and works wonders.

I appreciate this is an awful year for slugs but 4 days after applying the nematodes I killed 60 slugs in my beer traps overnight. I am still finding 20 or more each day. Maybe it would have been more without the nematodes.

Hi, I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with the product. It can take up to 3-4 weeks for the nematodes to have a visible effect, this is because the nematodes target the grubs of the pest. This should hopefully take effect over the next few weeks. Please let us know if you have any questions. Kind regards Gardening Naturally

My garden was inundated with slugs and it seemed the quantity reduced after application of Slug Nematodes.

I have been so inundated with slugs and snails this year in particular so I decided to give nematodes a try. I think I should have probably started in the spring instead of summer as I didn't realise how important it is to keep the soil moist! I will start in spring next year but I still believe the slugs have been controlled to some extent this year. Not sure if an autumn application would be good/possible ?

I got to be honest here I never expected much, and last year my biggest slug issue was later in the year not earlier. This year I mulched the beds and left them open before planting. I had very little slug problem. The fat ones went over the wall to my neighbor who has no garden really but stones and mess. So I gratefully gave them away. The smaller ones went the same way. One white slug I found in the woodchip pile went into the hot compost pile. So the only reason for this lack of slug action must be these I put down earlier in the season. Will use in future every year until I get these under control. My cats are helping with the cabbage white population this year. That and companion planting.

They mostly suppress the slugs for a few weeks, and maybe a few things will survive. Nothing survives without!
