“I used these for a rather unconventional purpose, which is to wrap around my pond pump doing the tadpoles spawning season as I at one time found a drowned newt in my filter when cleaning it out so I no longer wanted tadpoles to be able to get into the filter, develop lungs and then drown. They keep tadpoles out and presumably other small creatures without impeding the water flow, and after use, can be disposed of on the compost heap as they are natural material.”
