“Very good at trapping Plum Moth, but not 100%, so spray, Tree Sleeves or Bags may also be required to ensure you don't find a Plum Moth maggot in your plums. I deploy traps from early April onwards, once flowering has finished in South Suffolk, rather than wait until the end of May as suggested on the packaging, and find I catch moths from that date, so perhaps climate change means they are on the wing earlier than they were historically.”

“These traps are very good at catching plums fruit moth, which can ruin your fruit. In Suffolk I find that they need to be used from the start of April, immediately after flowering has finished, rather than the end of May as recommended on the carton. Given they are monitoring traps they don't trap all the moths, so you will need to accept some fruit get damaged, spray the trees to kill the moths, or cover the trees with Tree Bags. Given each lure only last 5 weeks, you will clearly need multiple lures each year.”

“I've had these before and they have made a difference when processing the plum harvest in autumn. My only disappointment is that these came bundled together in plastic when last time they were in a paper bag.”
