“I'm really disappointed with this product. Despite following the instructions carefully, the gel forms keep falling out of the slots, even though I'm keeping them moist. Sofar I have not seen one dead or dying weevil. I don't know why this product was recommended to me as I have not seen it working as described.”

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you've been disappointed with the trap. The gel inserts should remain securely in place when fitted correctly, so it's unusual that they are repeatedly falling out. If the gel falls away from the groove, gently spray it lightly with water until it swells again, then press it back into place. The traps work by attracting adult vine weevils, which become infected with the biological control. Once infected, the weevils stop feeding and die out of sight, so you may not see dead or dying weevils around the trap. Results can also vary depending on the level of adult vine weevil activity, and it may take a little time before the traps begin working if populations are low. “Very easy - No watering in just unwrap the block and place in the garden. It's seems to be working well as the weevils are not eating my mahonia and the surrounding shrubs.”

“Have used them successfully before. Dissatisfied though, ordered for specified date, reply said allow a day each side, it was delivered outside the time slots and had use by 20th April, I was not intending using it until after that date.”

“Despite having a bad infestation of Vine Weevils affecting several shrubs , I’ve not seen any caught in the trap, stuck to the gel etc. That might not be a fault if the trap though.”

Hi, I am very sorry to see this. The nematop trap is suitable for use with treatment against adult vine weevil, if there is a a lot present, it might be worth appying nematodes as well to treat the area against the grub of the pest as well as the adult. Hi, If the pest area is severe, you may need a few treatments, the nematop trap will only treat the adult vine weevil and not the larvae, so it is advisable to treat with nematodes as well to really target the area.
