“I wish I had looked further into this product and not bought it. I accidentally killed lots of invertebrates that were not the target species and removed it after less than 24 hours because it was so distressing. It is completely indiscriminate. It is all very well using 'natural' products but this to me is not a wildlife friendly or welfare friendly method and I really regret ever using it.”

“Used for the first time, a bit fiddly for narrow tree trunks, stuck to me whilst trying to put them in place. We will have to wait to see if they work to fully confirm if we recommend them or if they suit our needs, but I’ll say yes for now.”

“These are fine to instal. Two pairs of hands strongly recommended. String is included. Sticky on one side only and we wasted some in handling on the first trunk we did because we exposed too much of the sticky side while setting up the overlap on the tree while installing. We tied two encirclings of string (top and bottom) just off the sticky section (it can be tricky to tie the string on the sticky central section as illustrated, as it sticks to the band and resists tightening without distorting the glue band). I then used Vitax Natural Fruit Tree Grease to seal the top and bottom of the bands to the tree to avoid insects climbing up behind the grease band. Maybe slightly less useful length and sticky band width than on another brand I used last year. I would use these again, especially with the Vitax Natural Fruit Tree Grease.”

“Impossible to get a good seal therefore some ants can be seen making their way up between the bark and the non-sticky side of the band.”
