“The pheromone lure certainly attracted the chafer beetles on my apple trees and roses. Within a very short time there were many caught in the chamber. However, the lid attachments were insecure and the bucket kept falling to the ground. I tried tieing the bucket to the lid, but that didn't work. I have now resorted to keeping the trap on our picnic table and this seems to work.”

“The chafer trap works just as described, currently collecting 50-100 beetles a day! We have a large infestation of beetles over a new tree plantation. The trap does strongly attract beetles into it, particularly in strong sunshine. Unfortunately it is unrealistic to hope that it would draw all the beetles off the trees, like a magnet!”
