“Easy to apply with a watering can. Had to make up the mix in a large bucket before filling the watering can. Have only just applied both sachets so too soon to judge the efficacy, but as my box bushes are badly affected by the moth caterpillars I am hoping for success.”

“Bit early to judge this year as we have had a particularly bad infestation of caterpillars, but the nematodes don't seem to be as effective as last year. Also the pheromone trap has only caught 2 months whilst the females have clearly been very active.”

Hi Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you’ve had such a severe infestation this year. Nematodes are living organisms, so their effectiveness can be influenced by environmental conditions such as temperature, moisture levels and exposure to strong sunlight. The pheromone trap is designed to attract male box tree moths, so the number caught may not always reflect the overall level of moth activity. “I noticed webbing on my established box ball but hadn't spotted the dreaded caterpillar. Not wanting to risk it i ordered the nemotodes. Delivery within 48h, repeat dose recommended (not yet done), clear instructions and no further webbing can be seen. Ive already recommended to a friend who has seen caterpillars. Good service so will use this company again.”

“Instructions on the box are complicated and unclear. Two sachets were promised but only one arrived. I received a prompt e-mail in response to my request for another sachet - it has not arrived a week later. Still lots of small caterpillars in the bushes. Over to bacillus thuringiensis.”

Hi Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the results. Box moth caterpillars can be particularly challenging to control, especially during periods of heavy infestation when multiple generations are active. For the nematodes to be effective, it's important that they are applied under the right conditions and thoroughly cover the foliage where the caterpillars are feeding and then water the plants within 30 minutes afterwards to wash the nematodes off the leaves and back into the soil, where they can continue to work effectively.
