“The delivery was on time, both Bokashi bin lids ordered were delivered and this appears to be the only seller of my particular lids. However what was delivered wasn't great. The lids of both Bokashi bins delivered were very warped and they could not be bent into shape and would not hold in place when being used on the Bokashi bin (defeats the purpose) I put my issues to a customer service member who, rather than offering me a different set or my money back, suggested that I put the lids into warm water and then when in a more maleable state, I then can use them again (like this issue has been reported many times in the past). Even after a few occasions of trying to do this the lids would improve slightly but would still pop up in a corner. I again reported the issue but after once again asking me to put under hot water they only offered me a refund as all other bin lids will have warping issues. Only problem is that our previous lid was broken and therefore we do need a lid. We can't find an alternate source for lids so at present are keeping the lids with a spare weight on top to hold in place. Not great”

Hi, I am very sorry to see that you are unhappy with the lids. We hold stock of the lid spares, unfortunately due to the material type, these can become warped as mentioned, we would advise to soak these in fairly hot water to make the plastic more malleable as mentioned. It appears one of our team have advised this as you mentioned, we have then offered a pre-paid label for the lids to be sent back for a refund. We can send replacement lids, however these will likely have the same warping, and we have found that advising to soak in warm water for a while before fitting to the bin seems to fix the issue. “We wrecked our Bokashi Bin lids by stacking the bins. It’s good to have lids that fit properly and are not held together with duct tape and glue. Our Bokashi bins have been a great way to bring life to our compost bin. The worms love the fermented bits that get added every few weeks.”
