“I was very disappointed with my tool shed, and it certainly wasn't worth £105.00. The wood was extremely filmy and certainly wouldn't last a British winter! I have had to paint it quite a few times to try and strengthen it! So with the cost of the paint as well as the shed, it has turned out to be a expensive purchase!”

Dear Linda, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am so sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your tool shed and that it hasn't met your expectations. At this price point, the timber panels used for compact tool sheds can sometimes feel quite lightweight or "flimsy" straight out of the box. However, once the shed is fully assembled, constructed on a completely flat base, and all the components are securely tied together, the overall structure should become much more rigid. Regarding the painting, you have actually done exactly the right thing to protect it against a harsh British winter! While applying layers of paint won't physically alter the structural thickness of the wood, a high-quality wood treatment or outdoor paint is absolutely essential for weatherproofing the timber and preventing rot. We always highly recommend treating the wood as soon as it is erected, so you have certainly given your shed the best possible chance of lasting for many years to come. We completely understand that having to factor in the extra cost and effort of timber treatment can be frustrating if it wasn't anticipated.
