Featuring traditional Chelsea boot characteristics, the Gabor Newport have a slightly chunkier cleated sole for a modern twist on a classic style. Featuring leather or suede uppers, the side gussets allow natural movement around the ankle while a side zip adds extra security. A 2cm heel adds a slight lift in height with a rubber sole protecting underfoot with plenty of grip, and, rear pull tabs help slide the feet into warm textile linings keeping toes nice and cosy, especially in winter. As a Gabor H fitting, the Newport Chelsea boots from Gabor are best suited to those with extra wide feet - pairing perfectly with jeans and a jumper for the ultimate autumn/winter look. “I love these boots and that is a 5 star BUT bought some of these from John Lewis 2 years ago and both boots have split in exactly the same place on each foot!.John Lewis said it was not a manufacturers fault and could not help.I love them and have bought another pair but watch this space -if this happens again I will not be happy”

We would certainly take a look at them for you to see if there was a manufacturing fault. There is also a Company named Intershoe who are the UK representative of Gabor shoes where they have been sold via another retailer and may be able to help if you email them with regard to your previous purchase. customerservices@intershoe.co.uk. “They are comfortable and fit well. The widest width fitting works well and I often struggle to find shoes which fit well as I have wide feet and bunions. I've been able to wear them all day comfortably.”

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you did not find the boots suitable. With regard to returns, you can opt for second class Royal Mail which keeps cost down and then pay 80p more for tracking. You do not have to have tracking, but if you do, it means that you can see when they arrive here and can prove that they were received by us. It does seem that with this higher cost that you have paid, you have chosen a next day service, which is not needed, second class only takes a day more. You can also return to a Charles Clinkard store, or use the link on our website where for £4.49, you can create a label wtih collect + this service alows you to return up to 10 kilo for the low cost of £4.49.
