Moustache Samedi 27 Xroad ES 2026 Reviews

4.8 Rating 4 Reviews
I have had my Moustache Samedi for about three months now and I thoroughly reccomend it. It has good build quality and a very powerful electric motor. So far I am very happy with it.

I live in Tobermory on the Isle of Mull and wanted an e-bike for replacing the car for trips to the shops and doing some local deliveries. The Samedi was an ex-demo/showroom model and was in immaculate condition with no real signs of use. The bike arrived pretty well fully assembled- my only observation being the front brake hose was somewhat stretched by the turned bars - luckily it was OK but a half-star deducted for poor packaging. The bike rides and handles great - progressive, quiet power delivery plus the hydro brakes when descending in the rain and full mudguards (it rains here, lots). Delighted with purchase.

The XL framed Samedi 27 Xroad 1 appealed (as I’m 6’4”) and is finished in a delightful mist green. It was shipped to me and worth waiting for. Having straightened and tightened the handlebars, attached the pedals and added some charge, l was off. Now approaching 700 miles in nearly 10 months it’s been really great. The only maintenance has been my fitting brake pads at the rear and a dribble of oil on the chain. The only accessory added has been a set of soft panniers which fitted straight on to the factory fitted rack. These have three compartments on each side, the biggest of which can take three bottles, so that’s six in total, ample for a day at the beach. Performance wise it’s been perfect. The OFF ECO TOUR SPORT and TURBO power settings are simple to work. The nine speed derailleur gearing works really well and in top, down hill with no assistance l’ve cracked through 40 mph. The digital readout tells me all l need to know, the seat is fine for trips of up to three hours. If l was going to ride it for longer than this frequently then l would look for a more comfortable seat, one of the gel ones perhaps. A friend saw my Samedi, was impressed and bought one almost identical. As we approach my second summer with my Samedi, l remain really pleased l bought it, it still looks like new and l have every confidence it’ll continue to work well.

I love my Samedi 27 Xroad. I ride it to work every day (towpaths and pavement) and take it out into the countryside on weekends (towpaths, bridleways, trails, pavement... everything really). I've changed the tires to something more puncture resistant and upgraded to the Smartphone Hub (which is really fantastic), but overall, I couldn't be happier with my bike.
