“A new addiction.... For me, these are simply the best chocolates ever, and since I treated myself to some at Christmas, are a new addiction. They are the epitome of chocolate luxury at affordable prices. If you want to find a chocolate that provides everything promised by every chocolate advert ever, these are the chocolates you need to buy. The dark outer casing is pure chocolate heaven, with absolutely none of the fatty texture you get in cheap chocolate. Just short of bitter, it's a glorious reminder of what chocolate unadulterated with sugar and cocoa butter is really like. Once the casing melts in your mouth, you reach the velvet-textured and sweeter truffle centre. Creamy, brazenly rich, and oh so silkily smooth, these dark chocolate truffles are dangerously close to perfect. My only complaint is that I can't buy them in a big box, so I have to make them last! Believe me, sticking to my 'three truffles per day' rule, is almost impossible. For me, these truffles are better than chocolates from ANY other well-known brand sold in the UK. You absolutely deserve the pleasure of having these, and if you don't like dark chocolate, Friars make so many other chocolates you are bound to find your favourite.”
