The eye-catching calender contains an excellent range of delicious and high quality marzipan and praline filled chocolates to enjoy throughout the season. If you like these fillings, then the sheer quality of the confectionary justifies the cost. Excellent service too from Friars again. Simple ordering process and prompt delivery. “This is the perfect Advent calendar for anyone who loves marzipan chocolates. All chocolates are full size not miniatures and of very high quality, lots of lovely German varieties I can never find elsewhere in the UK. I think it is good value given the amount and size of the chocolates. I bought one 2 years ago and have bought this year's one very early as I missed out last year. Also there is no plastic apart from the outer film wrap, the inner is entirely cardboard so very easy to recycle. Delivery from Friars was very prompt and it arrived securely packaged. I hope you continue to stock this calendar every Christmas!”

“I bought this at a reduced price so it is fantastic value for money. However I think at the full price it also remains great value. It's a lovely traditional-looking calendar. It's very large but that's because it contains a very generously-sized marzipan/praline chocolate behind every door. There's lots of variety, and descriptions of every chocolate on the back of the calendar. I also really like that it doesn't contain any plastic, each of the chocolates is held in a sort of individual cardboard "basket" so the whole thing can be put into the paper/cardboard recycling after Christmas.”
