“Fantastic wing. I went from flying several different A wings, to this B wing and couldn't be more pleased. It's hard to explain, but simply put, the "A" wings I flew never had any feel, were sluggish with limited glide and slow controls. Others advised me that many other B wings as well, were not as nice as the BGD is in feedback, control and response. This NEW BGD EPIC 2 is vastly different. I can finally "feel" the wing properly, the feedback from it is wonderful, and when you go "hands up" for trim, it accelerates nicely like a wing should. Big ears, Speed-Bar, flying Min-Sink speeds are all a delight now. The energy available for landings, even in the thin air of Colorado is perfect, with proper flare and light touchdowns. The turns finally carve properly and feel correct with minimum weight shift. It's a joy to kite on the ground, light, and packs up in my New Advance Progress 3 Harness beautifully. It brought my flying to a whole new level of feeling "one" with the wing very quickly. I've flown it now from Colorado to California and love it, certainly a game changer and very safe while at the same time, great performance for glides, speed, thermalling, etc, and I can usually arrive higher on Glide, or get higher than others Ridge Soaring, with similar or even higher rated wings. It just stays with them. All of that from a "Low-B" rated wing, is incredible. Thanks BGD for designing such a well rounded performing, yet safe wing!”
