“"Squidie bites" are the caviar of our home. They are the epitome of loveliness that makes all that terrible brushing and combing worth sitting still for. The smell of the sea at low tide emanates from the packet as the seal is broken and it sets Mabel's heart ablaze. At no other time does a packet take so long to be opened nor does a treat spend an eternity travelling from fumbling fingers to soft pink tongue.”
