“Purchased 5 packets of Gold Sparklers but every single sparkler stubbornly refused to light with a match outdoors…after finishing the whole packet of extra long matches had to keep running indoors to light them on the gas hob and bring them out to the kids before they went out.”

Sparklers cannot be lit with matches. The flame is not hot enough. The fact that you lit them fine on a has hob proves that the sparklers worked as intended. The issue was the matches not the sparklers. Hope that helps for future sparkler parties!
