“the gift idea is great but the execution of the mini figurine from brick yourself didn't match the description I put in at all - e.g. I asked for predominantly bald and I got a full set of hair, I asked for a navy blue office suit with light blue dress shirt and I got a lumberjack blue and red shirt. Which is a bit disappointing for the secret santa gift.”

“I recently bought two figures to give as a wedding present. I really wanted to love them but was so incredibly disappointed when I received them. They were so generic and awful. I would have returned them but It was too close to the wedding. Having spent $100 on them I couldn’t afford to buy another wedding present and was honestly kind of embarrassed to give them as a present. I understand there are limited options available but for that much money I was expecting a bit more effort. In the days of 3D printing and custom stickers, it should be relatively easy to customize something. I could have gotten the pieces from eBay and made a better version myself for a fraction of the price. I love Firebox and really wanted to love this. But I will definitely not be buying anything “custom” in future.”

“I am hoping to rate this product a 5 star soon, it is really hard to make these figures as accurately as the description that is given. I am 80`% happy with my four person brick yourself. 3 figures are exactly what I was hoping for, amazing thank you. I am currently in contact with firebox as I asked for a navy and white striped t shirt, black or navy t shirt but the figure arrived wearing a pale blue and white sleeveless t with a red scarf which makes her look like a pirate!! I am hoping this can be resolved asap as I need to give the present in a few days. The Dad figure arrived wearing a black T with player 1 on it so thankfully he is a keen gamer. I would happily, although reluctantly pay for another T if the mini figure can be taken apart? if not I would reluctantly pay a cost for a replacement figure. The rest of the lady mini figure is great, light blue jeans, perfect hair, smiley face as requested. I agree with Brenda Hale that a photo before receiving the product would be great. I think this is an amazing product that undoubtedly has limited parts. Thank you for the 80% that I am happy with and I will happily restore the review to 5 stars once I can de pirateise the lady mini figure.It was a treat at £89 (with a voucher code) so I would like it to be correct.”

“I gave a description of a tall man, wearing sunglasses, what I got was Ned Flanders with specs and a light saber I said, tall man, brown hair and glasses, not sunglasses, my husband doesn’t wear glasses. I’m so disappointed and it’s Father’s Day on Sunday. I would have preferred to have been sent a proof as this is so generic, I could actually cry.”

“I've ordered a Brick Yourself twice for each of my brother's 21st birthdays and I honestly I couldn't be happier with how they turned out! Such a memorable, fun gift and big ups to the design team for being able to capture each of my brother's very different personalities perfectly! Totally worth the extra shipping costs to Australia, shame I don't have any more siblings with 21st's coming up!”

“Absolutely perfect!!! Couldn't be more accurate. I was quite specific with my description and asked whether they could include spanners as me and my partner are both mechanics and they included them- every detail was spot on. The hair, glasses, clothing, everything! Brilliant job, would highly recommend. Thank you!”
