DIY Roasting Gammon with Cumberland Glaze (2kg) Reviews

4.8 Rating 9 Reviews
Read Field & Flower Reviews

A Christmas Eve classic. Our bone-in gammon has been dry-cured by our Somerset butchers, resulting in the most deliciously sweet and tender meat. Cut from the hind leg, this joint is succulent and packed with flavour. We recommend poaching with onions, peppercorns and bay leaves before transferring to a hot oven with a sticky glaze of your choice. Our gammon is made with 100% British pork from outdoor-reared pigs. Serves 12 people This product is only available for delivery on our Christmas delivery days (Thu 19 Dec, Fri 20 Dec, Sat 21 Dec, Sun 22 Dec, Mon 23 Dec, Tue 24 Dec)

Excellent quality. Didn’t realise until it was too late that you’re supposed to soak this joint )should have read the instructions!). I panicked that it would be too salty but it was absolutely fine and the whole thing was demolished in one sitting.

Tasted very good and, most importantly, was wonderfully moist.

This year it will be a much bigger joint. Tender and juicy and the Cumberland glaze was excellent.

Fabulous Gammon and finished off with the free Tickler sauce, which was divine.

I think this has to have been the best gammon we as a family have ever had! The glaze was stunning. I personally have never had it before and it was really tasty. I will look out for the same again next year if it is offered
