Cracking Outdoor MTB Shorts 2XL (8-9) Long Reviews

4.6 Rating 49 Reviews
Being a larger lad (130kg and 195cm) Iäó»ve always struggled with so called XL sizing we find in the Fox etc range. First fit these were just amazing and Iäó»m so tempted to buy another pair soon. Double bonus shipping to Australia was fast too

I really debated quite a long time before buying these shorts as they are quite an expensive item. Nonetheless I went ahead and ordered them. The first pair came with a small tear in the stitching which I sent back for a replacement - disappointingly this was at my cost !!. But at least they were replaced quickly. I then wore the shorts on 2 rides and found them to be scratchy against the skin behind my knee. I think this is caused by the stitching on the hem which is of quite a coarse grade. On the positive side, they are really comfortable to wear and were it not for the scratchy material I would be giving this product a much higher mark. I did consider returning them again, but at Œ£7.50 a time this is a ludicrous option, so Iäó»m stuck with them. So, overall äó_ sorry FLAB team, I was honestly hoping for a better outcome :-(

Shorts not delivered on time and all you did was blame the courier and quote your täó»s and cäó»s Not what I expected from a company that says itäó»s customer focused.

I brought these for on the bike and in the gym, they also now get used in the pool for aqua aerobics (lack of seams is much better than swimming shorts in terms of chaffing). The biggest revelation has been using them when canoeing, the high waist means no exposed crack and also lots of overlap with a tee-shirt meaning no exposed belly when they are under a drysuit, absolute result. If only FLAB started doing oversized drysuits and thermal underlayers for the larger gentleman

Got them a couple of weeks ago, and they are the comfiest MTB shorts Iäó»ve tried. Best thing is they stay up! That grippy stretchy waist band works perfectly, the the pocket is big enough for a phone, garage door key and a pair of reading specs (Iäó»m 50). Fairly pricey, but really well designed. I did expect them to arrive with a padded undershort, but thatäó»s only because all other shorts do. I wasnäó»t misled. Will definitely buy a second pair.

Firstly let me say I love the Fat Lad stuff and are the only jerseys I wear. The MTB shorts look and feel fantastic, so much so I ordered a second pair after simply trying them on. Sadly for me they actually slip down a little each time I stand when riding, so I end up having to pull them up each time I stop, which really annoyed me I'm afraid. Personally I would like a stronger waist band, I think this would solve my particular problem. Really wanted to give them a 5 star as they are the best looking most comfortable shorts I've owned. Cheers. Peter.

Well I have to admit when I first looked I thought these a little expensive. However when I got them - WOW - they were actually great value, they are well made, comfy, strong and of course they fit round my ample backside and as for äóìno crackäó they easily reach up to my tummy button. I also bought some grundies but the shorts will fit comfortably over a pair of lycra shorts. Every time I go out on my bike (when its warm) I reach for these great shorts.
