“This appears to be wood pieces stuck on a main thick piece of MDF. I emailed customer service asking to provide a free return as the website description says it is only wood and my reason for return was misleading advertising—I wouldn’t have purchased it if they listed correctly that this was wood on MDF. I also asked whether they do have any solid wood products, as I’m still interested in buying, assuming they’d put in effort to resolve the issue. I haven’t heard back from them yet and it’s been 2 weeks. For the prestige this company attempts to appear, they do not back it up in both product and service. UPDATE 3 MONTHS LATER: A customer service rep saw my review and reached out agreeing to a return and refund - I returned it and the tracking details indicate it was received by Farrar and Tanner two months ago, yet I have not received a refund. I emailed their customer service 4 times over 3 weeks asking about this, and still have not heard back. Seeing that last time no one replied until I left a review, I am editing my review to see if someone will finally respond. Otherwise I will need to have my credit card company do a charge back. Can someone please respond and refund me for this item.”
