“The design and look of the set is lovely but what was misleading was the finish of the chess square are really cheap lamented fake wood - definitely not mahogany as listed.”

“I bought this set as a christmas present for my other half and am very impressed with the quality of it. The inlaid pieces of wood in the board are all really well placed (reviews of other sets from other websites at a similar price complained of inlaid pieces lifting, and I can't see that happening with this set), and the hinges and closing latches are nice and solid. The chess pieces are also made of wood, and whilst the backgammon pieces are plastic they are still good quality. I would definitely recommend this set to others.”
