“I was initially a little cautious about buying this, as there was one negative review saying what they received did not match what the web page displays, however my experience was that the product matched exactly and met my expectations, the leather is really nice quality. The only difference was the box correctly described the flask as being stainless, whereas the website at the time of order referred to pewter, which it isn't of course. My only negative experience was that I wanted to ship to Germany, whilst paying in the UK and my order got cancelled - they expect you to select the flag at the top of the screen to correspond to wherever the shipping address would be before entering the order but this wasn't obvious at all at the time. Prices can still be paid in UK pounds but expect prices to be increased if shipping elsewhere.”

“Very poor experience of Farrar and Tanner. If you're thinking of purchasing this item, please don't take the images as any indication of what you'll get. From the images and description, you'd think you were getting a quality item from a UK designer and manufacturer. In fact, you're getting a cheap Chinese item which could be obtained from other websites a lot cheaper. The style of the flask and the gift box does not match the images at all (see my photos for what you'll actually get). When I messaged customer support, there was a generic reply and an easy returns process albeit I wasn't refunded for postage. There are other sites selling genuine pewter items for a few pounds more and I would advise looking elsewhere.”

Good afternoon, I'm so sorry for the disappointment. Pinder Brothers are based in Sheffield, but not all of their hip flasks are made in Sheffield. Any that are made in Sheffield have a little flag on the product image to emphasise this. To make it clearer on the ones that aren't we are adding in 'Made in China' to the product descriptions. I have processed a refund for the £2.95 postage, my apologies that was not done when the return was processed. I also apologise if my initial response felt generic, it was a genuine response from myself where I explained I would pass on the feedback and images to my colleagues to fix the issue, I did not mean for it to come across impersonable.
