“Its a good board overall but i was disapointed that the acrylic checkers advertised were not sent and wooded checkers were sent instead. Similiarly, the personalised brass plate I added was not attached and was loose in the box. Unfortunately, I only opened the box for inspection the day before i was giving it as a wedding present, however this was my fault for not checking sooner. Upon raising the problem with the customer services team they offered solution and refund for the errors and i do believe this was a one off mistake and greatly appreciate the help from the team.”

Our marketing team are going to update this on our website with new images and update the product description. You are more than welcome to return the set for a full refund, as it isn't as advertised. I'm also sorry to hear about the issue regarding the engraving. “The board is of excellent quality and looks superb. The overall experience is let down somewhat by the flimsy plastic dice cups which are not consistent with a product of this quality.”

“The backgammon board was beautifully made and the recipient is absolutely delighted. The Greek workmanship is superb, cannot be faulted and makes it worth the money and the 5 stars. We felt however that the plastic checkers and dice cups, presumably added later, were not really up the the quality of the main item.”

“Clasps fell off on the first use. They are simply metal prongs pressed into the wood. Now the clasps won't stay on the board. For an expensive board, the cheapness of the hardware is unfortunate. Not satisfied as this was bought as a high-end lifetime purchase.”
