“Before purchasing this knife I did a little research. Of the many folding knives considered I found them to be expensive, too fancy, too thin. What I wanted was a strong single bladed folding knife. Opinel offered a very good selection of what may be considered a basic design but their history showed the design has lasted since 1890. Their No. 9 folding knife is excellent it is I think made of 5 parts, strong, simple, and effective. A sharp blade lovely walnut handle and it cost £22 In a class of its own. Jim”
