“I'm really grateful that this product exists on the market especially when mineral sun protection is seen as 'unfashionable' compared to the new chemical filters or when almost every mineral sunscreen has some horrible tint in it. I was specifically seeking a mineral sunscreen to protect from HEV due to my job necessitating a high screen time. I understand iron oxide pigments provide broader coverage but I don't always want something so make-up like. And I wanted one high in zinc oxide due to its broad indications of use for skin health. I'm not bothered with any white cast: when doing my research on sunscreen I've found that social media contains many 'reviews' from people who don't know the first thing about skincare but are eager to show how well-educated they are. So there are people who will apply a mineral sunscreen incorrectly and complain that the product is bad. The trick is to apply it in thin layers until the recommended amount has been applied. It's like wearing a buildable foundation. I'm very happy with this product but my two grievances are (1) it is too high in oils which gives a greasy finish and causes pilling (2) the high concentration of oils gives this product a PAO of only six months. I do think it could stand to be reformulated to contain less oil. Overall my impression is: I like it a lot but I'm not thrilled. I would not buy this again until having tried other non-tinted mineral sunscreens available.”

Hi Lena, Thank you for your thoughtful 4-star review! We truly appreciate your insights on the Bioderma Photoderm Mineral Fluide SPF 50+. It's fantastic to hear that it meets your need for mineral sun protection, especially given your specific concerns about HEV light exposure. Your point about proper application is spot on, and it’s always encouraging to see knowledgeable users like yourself share their experiences. Warm regards, Team Face The Future

“Purchased this sunscreen as just another attempt to get spf that would not burn my eyes (blepharitis, dry eyes, active phase when my eyes are reactive to almost anything). And this fluid seems to be quite delicate. Leaves white residue - I have to mention this. But when choosing between the sunburn and some white cast - I choose the second option)) Smells like Futurist Este Lauder foundation. Top choice for sensitive eyes.”

“Very easy to apply, a little seems to go a long way. I get terrible eczema and itching from regular sunscreens and this one doesn’t flare up my skin at all. It leaves my skin slightly dewy to the touch but it is not overly oily, and I have not had any issues with breakouts when using it on my face. There is a very slight white cast if you apply it heavily, but this is to be expected with a mineral based sunscreen. All in all I’m very happy, and will be using this as my new daily sunscreen.”

“Very disappointed. This is so runny it drips off your fingers but it is still very oily on the skin! It gets stuck in your eyebrows turning them white. Not good if you have brown brows!”
