“I received a used saw that has scratches and smudges on it. Buyers need to be informed that they are receiving a saw that was used. I tested it and it worked fine. Made an incredibly clean cut, without creating a lot of sparks. Appears well made and just the right weight. Heavy enough to stay in place, and light enough to carry. It's a keeper.”

“I love the way this monster cuts except... the screw clamp which holds the material is a royal pain. If you're cutting different-sized materials you have to turn, turn, turn the knob until it's secure each time. Spend the extra money for a EVOSAW380 with the quick adjust clamp or any saw with a "speed-knob" that you can turn without cranking your wrist over and over. The power is excellent. The blade cuts perfectly. It's permanently on my work truck, but I curse each time I have to adjust the clamp.”

“this is my second evolution saw. the first was a smaller circle saw and it was awesome. this one works great for cutting my square tubing for my projects. I highly recommend this saw. Compared to a abrasive chop saw (which i have two in the trash dump) this one is in a league of its own!”

“As someone who already owns two Cermet chop saws and 3 sliding compound saws (wood), this is just an OK tool. It cuts, is made fairly well and was delivered with care. Three things: the base could be stronger/better, (as could the back fence and clamping mechanism), there should be a quick release for the clamp screw, so that one does not have to screw/unscrew the entire threaded rod to change it for different materials and there should be a chipped cup for the chips generated by cutting. I presume all of this is included in the higher end offerings, but jeez, these are little things that make a big difference in the quality of the product. In short, I would spend the extra $$$ and buy the 380 (bigger/better model) that presumably has these features. Owning the 355 presently, next time I would definitely bite the bullet and order the higher-priced one. As it stands, this is the least quality tool I own. It works, it was purchased at a good price and I will live with it.”
