“I was actually amazed at what I got for a very modest outlay. I've delayed my response until I'd put it to good use which I now have other than using it for any compound mitres which I'm unlikely to need anyway. It's saved me countless hours over the past few weeks and the accuracy I've achieved after only minor fettling is very satisfying. The only gripe I have is that the dust extraction is poor even with a good extractor in place (most of the dust goes below the extraction port), and for this reason only I mark it down to 9.5/10.”

“Excellent piece of kit which is well designed and made to provide accurate and precise cuts in most materials with the same blade. I even managed to cut cleanly through the moveable back support by failing to move it out of the way, as clearly described in the instructions, when performing a compound bevel mitre cut. Evolution was able to provide a replacement at low cost and which arrived next day. I bought mine with the optional folding stand which is very convenient to use.”

“Bathroom fitter. Borrowed my old mans one of these before buying my own. Only criticism is that the clamp that can be used to hold down wood for cutting gets in the way of the saw mechanism making it impossible to cut fully through if the clamp is used. Awkward for long lengths of timber that only need a short section cut off.”

“excellent far better than clamping or kneeling on my work to cut so simple just slide the job in clap and cut no messing clean cut and yes it does cut steel. i was a bit genital with the steel took it slow but yes it cut it no problems easy to assemble too only one fault in one of the bags was "i suspect because i lost it" was a spare lazzer spot thingy opened the bag and it went flying .this would be better on a card with a label but that is my only problem i had .its a great tool saves loads of time .”
