Hello yes i found the saw to be good apart from 2 issues there is no were to put the mitre gauge and the screw on the end of the mitre gauge will not screw in as it is cross threaded.

Great product for the money. I don't know if it has any faults but so far I think it is a brilliant versatile sawbench.

My review is about evolution power tool as a company not there tools I ordered a rage5-s from amazon and had it delivered to Ireland. When assembling it there was two damaged bolts and missing washers. I contacted them using there online form and received no reply. So I rang the UK helpline and was told they were don't deliver to Ireland and contact amazon customer service. Amazon were willing to return and replace the saw but I thought this wasn't worth it as it is a very large tool and it was only a couple of bolts and washers were needed. Doesn't give me much hope if I there are further issues The assembly instruction are terrible and need to be revised. Images didn't match the description for assembly.

Had the Rage5-s a little over a week now as a replacement for my previous saw. The idea of the 'fold away' table saw had obvious plus points for me as I work the saw in an 8' x 6' shed but there's a lot more to this wee beauty than being able to tuck it into bed of an evening in the corner of your garden shed. Of course, to get to that stage you have to put the trolley/stand together which can be a wee bit Krypton Factor - ish if you follow the assembly instructions which come with the saw and ones best hope of not tearing all your hair out would be to watch the you tube videos of the assembly procedure. Once the trauma of that is over it'll not be long before you begin to realise this saw is awesome in many respects given that it only costs a little over £300. First thing I did after assembly was place my level on the table top - there were no gaps even across the right and left extensions prior to being pulled out. Was delighted to find the insert plate was a one turn release and seems to be pretty flush with the rest of the table although I'm not a fan of the 'gaping hole' which is necessary to enable tilting of the blade. Perhaps Evolution could offer a zero clearance insert as an after sales. Some real thought has went into the design of the rip fence which locks both front and back of the table. This of course would be totally useless if it locked down out of parallel to the blade but it seems they've thought about that too as there are two bolts on top of the fence which can be slackened to allow for adjustment so all in all once set up properly you'll notice the difference in the quality of your cut. If you're a blade alignment fiend like myself and never happy until you get the difference between the front and back of the blade in reference to the mitre slots down to a planck length then there are four allen nuts situated at the four corners of the insert to allow fractional movement of the trunnions although that being said mine came from the factory in a safe and workable setup and not something I'd advise others to do. The point I'm making I suppose is that it's the adjustability in this saw that ticks all the boxes for me. The sliding carriage on the left hand mitre slot is a powerful addition to an already excellent saw and the action is very smooth expanding the capabilities of this small saw greatly. The mitre gauge, although a little sloppy in the mitre slot (about a mm of play) is at least cast aluminium and not the usual plastic 'toy' which usually accompanies the budget saw end of the market and in any case once it's locked into its position on the sliding carriage all is well and good clean cuts are easily attainable. After all that what do I NOT like about this great saw.....Well the blade guard design is such that often it's not possible to pass larger sizes of timber under the guard to the blade as it refuse to lift leaving you with the only alternative of placing the stock under the guard before starting the saw or removing the guard altogether !!!! Still on the guard, why is it black or should I say why is it not clear plastic/Perspex ? I know it's only a spinning blade but I still want to see it during a cut. Although the main dust extraction at the rear port works very well the exhaust port on the back of the guard doesn't cope so well and the difference in the amount of sawdust after a cut with or without the blade guard extraction is negligible. So for me it's all in all a brilliant table saw for the money with an 8/10 or 9/10 when Evolution produce a zero clearance insert !

There may be some operator error here, I'm just a diy-er, some rip cuts have been less than accurate. The fence is sturdy and true but part way through the job, I just don't seem to be able to feed the timber through. I am reluctant to force it so I just can't fathom it out. The safety guard is just the opposite, to operate risk free is a cumbersome job. I will not remove it, I AM safety conscious but - lordy, its a pain in the backside!

Very good saw for the money nice features. Down side is no soft start comes on with such a bang it has occasionally tripped my rcb and the blade guard is not very good but as I say for the price it's good value

First table saw, good saw for the price, love the table extension, depth of cut, fence is nice and straight but I think the miter gauge could do with refining as it wiggles a bit while using but after all it is a worksite saw but I personally use it for more precise work, and the mechanism for blade angle could be made a bit easier to use as its a bit fiddly to push in the knob and get it precise. All in all I've had a good experience with the saw.
