This is an excellent value drysuit. I actually bought it as a backup to my main Nookie drysuit, and also for when the weather is bad, as my other drysuit lacks a hood. I’ve now worn my Explorer suit a lot: on the sea, on the Thames, on canals and also on long days in poor weather in the Lake District, and it’s served me well so far. At 5ft5 I do find the legs a little long, but that’s a constant problem with drysuits and dry trousers for me. I wish they did have a range of leg lengths to choose from, but it’s a fairly minor gripe. The leg entry system takes a bit of getting used to, and you do need to be fairly flexible in your legs to easily use it, but for me it’s definitely easier to get into on my own than my shoulder entry suit. The stowaway hood is very effective at keeping rain off my face because it’s very adjustable, and I like that it zips away when the weather is fine. The fleece lined collar is really cosy when it’s cold and the cinched neoprene cone neck is far more comfortable, for me, than a latex seal. All in all this is a really solid drysuit and at the price, very good value for money. I just do wish that Peak would chill out a bit with their branding; they put logos all over their gear, it’s a bit much! Calm down, Peak!
