“It's a well-made compass, but there are no installation instructions and the ones on the Silva website are dismal. Also, Silva supplies self-tapping screws which on my kayak would protrude as sharp points, ideally designed to tear skin, clothing or bags. I had to source stainless steel machine screws and domed nuts, which did the job. Silva should supply these. All round, a lot of effort to install which Silva could easily have prevented.”

“Sits perfectly in my P&H Delphin Kayak. Very easy to fit with good instructions. Not the cheapest compass but certainly excellent quality”

“Precise, fit for purpose & well packaged. This is a most reliable and essential piece of kit (esp in unpredictabled seafog paddling!). Safety first as always and Silva is my'go to' in compass.”
