“Had these on my last boat, never had one fail and they are quick to adjust or remove. Important to get the mounting secure though, otherwise a decent fish will lever the whole lot down and potentially pull the rod free. Easy to get a loaded rod out of the mount but the safety lock tends to get ignored.”

“by far the best and strongest rod holder on the market, bulletproof, tried some other cheaper rests and already broke one and nearly lost a expensive rod and reel, when trolling for big pike and specimen ferox trout, used in tandem with the flush deck mounts, only grip is that the nuts and bolts supplied are useless two much torque required to tighten up striping the star heads and leaving sharp edges, but replaced with marine grad stainless nuts and bolts”
