“I was after a buoyancy jacket with pockets for paddle board touring - I'd tried out several different makes and models at a store, and realised they they do vary quite a bit; some are quite restrictive for paddling. The store didn't have anything my size, so I searched online and came across the Yak Xipe, which I hadn't seen before. It looked ideal, and Escape had the best price, so I took a gamble and bought it - and could be happier. Well, I might be happier if I won the lottery, but that's a different matter. The Xipe, apart from it's curious name, is a really good fit, doesn't restrict movement, and the two front pockets, though small, are big enough to hold car keys, energy bars, etc. The material looks to be pretty hard-wearing, and tough on outside and inside too (I also have an NRS Ninja, and the inside material is much softer than the outside, which concerns me about it's durability - none such concerns with the Xipe) Having a big rear pocket for a hydration bladder is a real bonus. And it looks pretty good too. All in all, a bit of a winner.”
