To be purchased when a first free delivery has been missed due to no one being on site to take the delivery, the incorrect delivery details have been provided at the point of order, delivery restrictions are in force and we have not been notified, etc.

“We are repeat customers, but unfortunately, we won’t be buying from Empire again. Our delivery slot was 8:00–11:00 AM. After waiting until 10:30 AM, an unexpected emergency forced us to leave. We immediately contacted Empire to reschedule, we even permitted them to leave package unsigned by the door so we can deal with it later. They agreed without mentioning any extra fees, only to charge us later. Given our emergency and their failure to inform us of the cost upfront, we asked if the fee could be waived or discounted, but they refused. Very disappointing customer service, especially for existing customers. When couriers are late or deliveries go wrong, companies never compensate us for our wasted time, yet they're quick to charge us when things come up. Extremely one-sided.”

“We were told the delivery would arrive at 10.30 to 12.00 and arranged for my wife to be home. The delivery arrived at 10.05 and waited ten minutes . It then left which was outside the time stated . We incurred a failed delivery penalty despite being available when you stated the delivery would arrive . Not a great service”
