“These are excellent, soft and warm, breathable: a complete treat for your feet. I normally wear them as ordinary socks in the winter because they are warm yet slimline, but they were very breathable as sock liners in hiking boots. They get chucked on a wool wash in the washing machine and have come up smiling every time.”

In my mind "liner" is something thin but these are actually quite thick... somewhere between fully fledged walking socks and an everyday sock you'd wear in your shoes...more like a trainer sock to me.
