“Purchased to replace my existing VASF100T, which only lasted just over 2 years before the circuit board burnt out. Vent Axia say these fans have up to 5 years warranty but this particular model only has a 2 year warranty. My new fan is the redesigned 2020 version. Same fixing positions as the previous version but the back plate is more robust and the fan shape is different making the fan slightly quieter than the previous version. The previous version was quiet but this one is barely audible on the low speed setting - just a slight buzzing sound due to the ceiling mounting position. The backdraft shutters are now a thin plastic film rather than solid plastic but I still removed it because it doesn't open very much when the fan is ceiling mounted and run on slow speed.”
