“Needed a replacement remote doorbell push to go with my 13 year old Friedland Libra+ door chime. This model is long out of production, but as my door chime is still working perfectly fine, i just needed a new door button that would work with it. Online research suggested the Honeywell DCP311 model would work with the Friedland bell chime, and it does. Better designed than my previous door push & i like the rounded look of this one. Also, changing the batteries on this model is much easier than my previous one. With my old one, to replace the battery one would have to remove the back panel to access the battery, which meant pulling off it's sticky pad to the door frame. This one has a slide off 'carrier' that remains fixed to the door frame, and at the back of the door push unit itself reveals a twist out plastic battery cap, exposing the battery itself. Well designed, comes with fittings, instruction etc, but i didn't use the screw fixings, instead I used a piece of 3M stick pad to attach it to my door, as i had done with my previous one. Took a few seconds to 'tune' it to my Frieland door chime, works brilliantly. Thinking of getting another one as a back-up, just in case this model is made redundant anytime soon!”
