The Aurora AU-GUF4011LED/30 7 Watt Warm White PAR20 Lamp is a rather specific lamp designed for use with SGU10 Lampholders only. It is designed as a replacement for the old compact fluorescent AU-GUF4011/30, using just 7w this gives out 650 total lumens and has an 80 degree beam angle.

“The light from these lamps is excellent and instantaneous when compared to the original compact flourescents they replaced. These lamps are also a cost and performance improvement on the intermediate diode replacements from Aurora. Obviously these lamps are still very expensive when compared to the standard diode GU10s but for houses and extensions built around 2010 these are an essential retrofit. The alternative would be to rip out about 40 of them from my house and fit standard gu10s and either repair the oversized holes in the ceilings or fit adapter bezels to accomodate the smaller sizes of the standard GU10 fittings.”

“Diameter is exactly the same as the old CFL model, however the height is much shorter. Therefore doesn't tension the 2x spring holder enough for my liking. So it lost 1 star. However, once installed, it looks absolutely fine. Light is nice and bright (brighter than 11W CFL bulb) while (allegedly) using only 7W. Replacement bulbs cannot get any better than this. Recommended.”

“I am really pleased with my LED Lamps, was worried that they wouldn't fit with the change in size, but they fit fine. They are such an improvement on the old type. My kitchen now is so much lighter, like daylight on the dull winter days, and bright at night. It took me a while to find a source for these Lamps, and I waited quite a while to get them , not cheap but worth it, and I got free postage by buying four. Can't fault the service either.”
