“Good value was concerned about no transport but it was actually a short walk and it was dry and plenty of spaces. Point to note park further in, we made the mistake of parking near the entrance which was the furthest away point from the access to the airport.”
“I recently booked a last-minute 24 hour stay at the short stay car park to attend a funeral in N.Ireland and was late to return due to delayed flight (by 4-5 hours). I got back to the car park and there was no issue with exiting the car park. I always use this car park when departing from Edinburgh - always very reasonably priced, my car is safe and I've never had any issues. Keep up the excellent work!”
“I have used the Long and Mid Stay Parking at Edinburgh Airport on several occasions and all have been okay. However, this time it was disappointing but only when I returned to Edinburgh Airport after our short break.
The problem was I prebooked and paid for my parking but when trying to exit the carpark the barrier remained down and stated I owed £180. There is nothing at the barriers telling you what you need to do and the buttons on the machines are not labelled ie help button. I had to find my email confirmation of the parking and read through it all until I reached instructions on what you need to do.
I followed this and pressed most of the buttons on the ticket machine until one seemed to sound like it was ringing someone. When someone eventually answered, once I gave them my name and car reg they raised the barrier so I could finally travel home. Whilst this was going on for me someone else was having the same issue.
They need to have signs and labels at the ticket machine/barriers to make it clear on what you need to do.”
“Very expensive and the barriers did not work on exit, we had to call the team who confirmed that we had indeed paid. Other people were having the same problem. The delay was stressful with a very tired toddler who wanted to go home. Car was not damaged while we were away”
