“I ordered Tint 01 and I love it! I would order it again. It is lightly tinted and feels comfortable on the skin. The skin looks very good with it. It is easy to apply. If I could wish for something, I would wish it with a little more coverage.”
“I found this to be a great SPF. It’s so hard to find a tint that’s natural on male skin but this is so subtle, doesn’t gather in facial hair etc. Tint 01 just gives a lovely finish and protects you at the same time - win!”
“I found this SPF nice to use. It did not pill on application (applied over Simply Pure Hydrating Serum) and left my skin soft. It is less hydrating that the other Dr Sam Sunscreen therefore I think it would suit oilier skins and myself better in summer. The tint is almost undetectable, so please don’t purchase assuming it is going to replace your foundation/base. However, the tint ensures there’s no white cast (on my skin anyway).
My skin can be blocked up by lots of products but this caused no spots or any irritation, which on my sensitive rosacea skin is great.”
“Ive tried SO MAAAANY sunscreens in the past few years and this one is the best by far. I'm not surprised at all to see so many positive reviews; as others have said, it is lightweight, is goes on easily and leaves a beautiful glow and a light veil of tint on the face that's roughly comparable (with maybe a bit more colour and cover) to something like Glossier's Skin Tint.
The Tint 01 is very light. I'm a Fitzpatrick II and it lightens my face just a little; not as much as a tintless all mineral sunscreen would, but still a lightening effect, I quite like that effect. If I wanta perfect match to my skin I add roughly one pump of Tint 02 to 4-5 pumps of tint 01. I'm glad I bought both tints for that reason.
Both tints are fairly neutral, not too much towards the pink or the yellow.
The mix of SPF and tint is perfect, in that you can apply as much as is needed to get the SPF without getting an overload of colour. Compare that to any foundation that includes an SPF, where you'd have to look like you'd spread cake mix all over your face in order to get the SPF stated on the label!
Once again, as others have also said.. this is not a cheap product. If I were to apply it even just once every day I suspect it would run out well before the end of the month, so I will probably only use it on days when I want to look put together... when Im going for a long ramble in the hills and it doesn't matter how I look, I'll probably stick to my greasy face look with Altruist spf 50 at £8 for 200ml.
That's OK though. Bottom line is I'm delighted to have a sunscreen that feels like absolutely nothing at all on my face and if I had a bit more money for sure I'd wear this every day for the rest of my life.”
“I actually love this all physical sunscreen and I have tried them all. However, I will have to dock one star due to the price, what with shipping cost to the U.S. With reapplication, I will probably go through the bottle in 2 weeks. I will not be repurchasing but highly recommend this product.”
