Flawless Gossamer Tint SPF 50 Tint 01 Reviews

4.3 Rating 718 Reviews
Lovely sunscreen. I usually use the La Roche-Posay Anthelios sunscreen as I really enjoy the light texture, but it can sting if I use it on the days after I've used retinol, so this sunscreen has been a lifesaver on those days. I'm looking forward to the darker shade coming back in stock, as it's more suitable for my skin tone. However, I gave 4 stars as the pump is a nightmare!

I love all of Dr. Sam's products except her sunscreens. I find the Flawless Daily Sunscreen so greasy that putting on the recommended amount feels like swimming in a bath of sunscreen. The Flawless Gossamer Tint seems to set better, leaving a less greasy end result. I can actually wear this sunscreen and not feel like I'm drowning in it. However, I have definitely used sunscreens that I prefer, especially for the price.

Had great hopes for this sunscreen but for me even at 63yrs and letting the product sink in the effect it is too greasy shiny and pale. The alternative darker tint never seems to be in stock... I agree with other reviewers that the applicator pump is faulty I never get a full pump dispensed just small blobs or nothing at all. Overall not a fan and will not be repurchasing.

First I need to say that I am probably biased because Dr. Sam’s advice on Rosacea (youtube channel) saved my face and turned a blotchy, red balloon that hurt when touched into a normal face again! I have been using the Acelaic Acid Booster from PC for more than a year now thanks to her as well as the Dermo Cleanser from the Toleriane range, the Niacinamide from PC and the Avene Tolerance Emulsion if needed. I am also using The Medik8 Crystal.. (retinal) once a week, and it doesn’t aggravate my skin. From Dr. Sam I am using the Sunscreen, Brightly in the morning and Nightly, and I am in love. Flawless Gossamer, tinted: I have now bought my 4th bottle!!:) I am 35, have sensitive, oily skin, very sensitive to the sun and the colour 1 (I am quite pale, think embarrassed ghost) fits my complexion perfectly. I use it like makeup. The only complaint is that it is a bit shiny on my oily skin, but with Brightly underneath, which mattifies my skin a bit too much , it’s the perfect combination, the two balance each other out. I also love her nightly serum, I use it on some nights when I don’t use the retrinal, and no irriation whatsoever. The only complaint about the sunscreen: 6 heaps are impossible, I look like I’m wearing too much makeup after this. But 4-5 are feasible, applied in two thin layers. Thanks Dr. Sam! :)

This is my favorite SPF, in terms of how it goes on and never irritated my skin. Very moisturizing and glides smoothly onto the skin. However, the packaging is not the best, especially when running low. I have also been waiting so long for the tint 02 to become available. It has what has kept me from buying more! Would also love option of having it in a bigger size.

Fantastic tint. Very hydrating. Doesn’t pill. Overall great sunscreen. Wish this came in a matte formula as well because it is too greasy/shiny for my oily skin so I won’t be repurchasing.

I found this sunscreen stung and really really dried out my skin. I bought the tint 01 as I am quite pale but it still left a white cast. Disappointing for the price

Update of my previous 4* review. I still love the product. I use tint 1 which I'm juuust pale enough to get away with, but would love to try no. 2 if it was ever available (it literally never is). My main issue is this goddawful packaging. The pump works as intended for about a week - if that. Then you start to get less and less out of a single pump (meaning that as a means of measurement it becomes totally useless). You get mixed success with trying to expel the air, that will give it maybe another week where the pump 'works' but you are fighting to get anything substantial out of it. Eventually, the pump gives up the ghost entirely and you literally have to cut the packaging open - with scissors - to reveal the boatload of product left completely inaccessible at the bottom. This is sadly not a one-off dud - I'm on my third bottle of this stuff. It's embarrassing that such an expensive product can be packaged so awfully and they appear to be doing nothing about it. Not to mention the excessive plastic waste. As it stands I wouldn't recommend, at this price range, given most of the product is inaccessible.
