“Dr. Sam hit it out of the ballpark with this lovely tinted mineral sunscreen. I prefer mineral sunscreens for my sensitive, redness/rosacea prone skin, but the untinted ones tend to leave a whitish cast, while the tinted ones almost all are too dark for my Fitzpatrick Type 1 skin tone. This one, though, is perfect. It doesn't really provide coverage, but it blurs the look of pores and texture while subtly evening things out a bit. It feels nice on my rather dry skin, and I have found it to be completely nonirritating. The only thing I don't love is the packaging, which makes it hard to get every last bit out of the tube. I also wish Dr Sam would offer larger sizes of her sunscreens, as tiny tubes don't last long when used properly.”
“I love this suncream so much. I'm on my fifth tube of it. It does sting my eyes a tiny bit if it goes too near, but it applies beautifully, and you can actually use the correct amount without looking like an oil slick!
The only problem is the packaging - and this has been the case with every tube I've had. The plastic tube with pump works for about a day and then is useless. This is really difficult, because Dr Sam seems to emphasise in her videos the importance of using the correct dosage of product in the correct way, so it's frustrating that the mechanism prevents customers doing this and from following her advice. You have to guess how much you should use - not ideal for such an expensive product with such precise user instructions. I've used Flawless Daily sunscreen too, and that has a really good pump, so maybe this would be a better container?
But overall, amazing product that makes your skin look glowy and stunning - better than any SPF or foundation I've ever used! :-)”
“The gossamer product feels wonderful on the skin. It is very rich and moisturizing. Perfect for cold Canadian winters. Product leaves a nice glow on the skin and is not at all shiny. Doesn't burn or seep into the eyes. I think this product would be too heavy for me to use in summer so I will likely only use in the cooler months. I would have rated the product higher if it weren't for the packaging. The pump is awful and after one pump it is very finicky to try to get it to dispense properly. Please please please Dr. Sam fix the pumps on this packaging. I also think it would be great if Dr. Sam developed a lighter formulation rhat would be more suitable in the warmer months.”
“I have tried and tried with this product (for months, perhaps even a year+), and I have had to finally admit this is making my acne worse (it's not terrible to begin with). I really wanted to find an SPF with a bit of coverage while my skin clears and this is advertised as not clogging pores, but every day I use this I am getting a few new spots I need to try and clear up, perpetuating the cycle. Over time this seems to be getting worse. I am using only Dr Sam's products exclusively and no make up so it is definitely this product causing this. The plus point is this product gives fairly good coverage and does not sting the eyes which is great. I think I will need to give the other Dr Sam's sunscreen a go again and hope that one works for me!”
