“Really wanted to like this product because I know my skin needs the moisture, but it pills so badly. No matter how long I wait for the Neutralizing Gel to settle in, the moisturizer just doesn’t absorb. So disappointing because these products are a little pricey.”
Hi Miki, thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re sorry to hear the moisturiser pills after applying the Neutralising Gel. Pilling is unpredictable, as everyone's skin will react differently to product application.
The best thing is to make sure your skin is completely touch dry in between steps. It's crucial not to just smooth each step on and allow it to dry down on its own, as this can create a filmy residue contributing to pilling. Using a light pressure with fingertips, make sure that you continue massaging the product in until this has completely absorbed into the skin. Dr Sam's 13 Dot Technique really helps to spread the product evenly. We've got in touch directly to provide further assistance in line with our 60-Day Happiness Pledge.
“Dr Sam’s Intense Moisturiser has been a total skin saver for me. After dealing with a damaged skin barrier from vitamin B12 deficiency, my skin was reactive, itchy, and burning with almost everything I tried. Every other product just made things worse.
This moisturiser is the first thing that actually felt comforting — no sting, no itch, just instant relief. I now use it not only on my face, but also as an eye cream and neck cream. My skin has fully recovered from dermatitis around my eyes and nose, and overall it feels so much healthier, calmer, and stronger.”
“I used prescription-based retinal products, and this moisturiser is excellent! My skin looks so glowy, no dryness or flaking, and my acne has cleared up! cannot rate it more”
“I have combination acne prone skin that is very sensitive - occasionally I struggle with perioral dermatitis- and this is the only moisturiser I've tried that doesn't break me out or make my skin oily. I've been using it for months now alongside their cleanser and retinal and my skin looks the best it ever has.”
“I bought because of the all the good hype, awards, and recommendations that it was specifically ok for eczema and use around the eyes, as I have awful stress-induced eye & face eczema and will literally try anything to help it. Unfortunately it stung my eyelids like crazy, really burning, and I had to wash it off. 3 stars though because on non-eczema areas of my skin it did feel nice and nourishing and like it was doing good things for my skin barrier, which suffers in the cold/dry winter.”
