“This is my favourite moisturiser! The texture is perfection, i have pretty balanced skin but recently started a prescription tretinoin and this has been a god send to use along side that to help reduce some of the side effects. It works beautifully over and under other products and always has the prefect level of glow, although I can’t wait to try the new intense version!”
“I love this moisturiser. It never pills, goes on beautifully over my hyaluronic acid and under my sun cream, leaving my skin soft and dewy. It is light enough to wear during the day (my rosacea-prone skin tends to be dehydrated and occasionally dry). It’s not moisturising enough for me at night (but I wouldn’t expect that). One star taken off due to the packaging - there just seems to be so much plastic, but the cream is never exposed to air so I guess it stays active for longer?”

The moisturiser I loved the feel of when I put it on and the fact it had niacinamide in it but it also had Shea butter in it it clogged my pores so badly!! Instantly when I stopped using it it was so much better. I don’t think it should be labelled as none comedogenic and state it “Won't clog pores + helps keep them clear” because it’s not true for everyone. I would avoid the cream definitely as someone with sensitive skin. Also quite expensive for it not to work sadly.”

I can understand your concern. Shea butter is often misunderstood as a pore-clogging ingredient, but in fact, it's not classified as comedogenic.
Although individual experiences and reactions to ingredients can differ, the formulation of Dr Sam's products has been reviewed to meet the requirements of being non-comedogenic and suitable for sensitive skin. The formulation avoids using ingredients in amounts that are regarded as potentially comedogenic or irritating to the skin.
Plus, all of our products are certified non-comedogenic, they won't clog your pores. We frequently use skincare that contains shea butter, mineral oil, and silicones in our problem skin patients in the clinic without issue. But if you've had a bad experience in the past with these ingredients, it's always best to respect that.
