The town of Montepulciano is the heart of a renowned wine region in southern Tuscany: Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG. As everywhere in Tuscany, the most important grape variety is the Sangiovese grape, which is called Prugnolo Gentile here. Today, Lunadoro cultivates about 12 hectares of vineyards. After extensive investments in vineyards, technology and quality, the rapid rise to top producer succeeded, as many international awards show. The Vino Nobile is vinified from 100% Sangiovese and matures for many months in French oak barrels. Notes of violets, red berries and chocolate unfold a veritable array of aromas on the tongue. Ripe tannins give the wine a special texture.
